Meet Our Groomer

Lizzy Miledi

When I was growing up, I always wanted to become a veterinarian. Any animal I met I absolutely fell in love with. I have never lived somewhere and not had a furry friend next to me. I started working at an animal shelter at the beginning of 2017, and that was my life for a good while. Fostering all different animals like rats, snakes, frail old kitties that need a soft place to pass, to kittens that need to be bottle fed every 4 hours. (I ended up adopting 4 rats after fostering some.) I had the pleasure of creating the enrichment program, which specifically focused on the dogs having the hardest time at the shelter. My job was to make their lives the best it could be while they waited for their forever family. I've driven hours and hours to bring a dog to their new home because the family fell in love with a dog while they were just passing by from vacation.

Along with working my regular hours at the shelter, I volunteered there to learn more about the shy, scared, and behavioral dogs—the ones that were looked over a lot of times. So, I spent that extra time with them, understanding that all they need is kindness and all the patience in the world.

Once Covid hit, I ended up leaving the shelter and began the certification process of becoming a dog groomer! Not only do I love making your animals look good, but I also love trying to make the grooming process as stress-free as possible. After four years working for Petco, I decided to leave corporate and continue expanding my knowledge within the animal world.

I started working for Animal Medical Center in June 2024 and am ecstatic about the future!

When I am not grooming, I love to spend time with my own babies. I have six pets at the moment. 2 dogs, two cats, and two reptiles. I adopted my first dog, Willow. My boy Linus was a dog at the shelter that got adopted and returned four times, so I finally brought him home. The cat distribution system worked on me two different times with Omi and Gus Gus. Our 10 ft Carpet Python, Serenity, is neurological and requires special attention. Then we have Waldo, my tiny little Jackson Chameleon.

I also enjoy spending my time with my family, creating art of all kinds, and living life the kindest you can.

Grooming Requirements

We require all dogs and cats to be updated on vaccinations that are overdue or due within 2 weeks before entering our groom shop. Boosters of these vaccines must be given AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR to their due date to ensure appropriate immunity when they arrive for grooming.

(ie: Bordetella due date is 11/25, but your pet will be boarding on 11/20. Therefore, the Bordetella MUST be updated on or before 11/11).

While we can appreciate the beauty of a well groomed pet, at Animal Medical Center their health and well-being always comes first.
